With project managers, naval architects, boat builders, engineers and sales and marketing professionals from around the world, we are a cohesive team who work towards a common goal: producing the world's best boats for the world's happiest clients.
LEADERSHIP
Hudson Yacht Group is company founder and CEO, Hudson Wang, President Paul Hakes and Vice President Bruce Livingston.
HUDSON WANG - COMPANY FOUNDER
Hudson founded Hudson Yacht Group in 2009. Already an experienced and successful manufacturer and entrepreneur, he turned his business skills toward his passion for boats. With partnerships in world-renowned brands, Wang directs all production and sales phases of the world's finest yachts for both Asian and global markets.
CHRIS DOSCHER - PRESIDENT
Chris started his own private jet charter company in 1986 and grew it to over 400 employees and 40 jets worldwide. After selling the company in 2000 he campaigned his Farr 40 for 4 years, claiming gold multiple times including SORC. He brings a wealth of industry knowledge and sales experience to the table, making him an invaluable member of the HYG team.
Bruce Livingstone - VICE PRESIDENT
Bruce comes from an extensive background in Operations Management, formerly overseeing such projects as Grand Banks, Vicem Yachts, and Little Harbor Custom Yachts. His project and production management skills and high energy attitude are a welcome addition to the management team.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Headed by Sebastien Dorckel, Alice Zhang and Jade Wang, HYG’s project management team is dedicated to ensuring each of our project's complete success, from the early stages of design through delivery and beyond. The team works closely with our owners and their representatives to ensure their every desire is carefully considered and implemented.
Thomas Jonsson - PROJECT MANAGER
Thomas brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to his position as HH55 Project Manager. His career spans the globe and includes a multitude of roles including captain, engineer, owner's rep and project manager. He's worked on extensive projects, including the refits of the Tango 60, "Martha Mercedes" and the super yacht "Mari Cha III", and three semi-custom new builds of luxury yachts ranging from 60 to 100 feet. Tom also acts as commissioning skipper, delivery and warranty service.
Alice Zhang - PROJECT COORDINATOR
Alice worked from 2011 - 2012 as a translator and through her organisational skills and abilities to rally a team she progressed quickly until eventually becoming project coordinator on the Gunboat 60 project. Her knowledge and input has since been invaluable to the HH Catamaran and Powercat brands.
Jade Wang - CUSTOMER LIASON
After graduating from the School of Management at the University of Canada in 2009, Jade began a career in sales, marketing and customer service involving manufacturing both in Asia and Europe. She joined HYG in 2013 and has helped to orchestrate the growth of the company with a focus on customer care.
DESIGN AND ENGINEERING
Headed by Wesley Liu, James Hakes and James Juan, HYG’s design and engineering team is one of the world’s largest luxury yacht development teams. The team takes great pride in its work and in its ability to operate seamlessly in two languages and cultures. The design and engineering professionals at HYG know the importance of clear, concise drawings that are clearly understood on the shop floor and beyond.
Wesley Liu - R&D MANAGER
Wesley graduated from the National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan with a degree is system & naval mechatronic engineering and went on to gain valuable experience in the yacht industry working for Horizon Group's custom build Premier Yachts. He joined Hudson Yacht Marine's research and development team in early 2015.
James Hakes - ENGINEERING MANAGER
James has been involved in the marine industry his entire life. A keen sailor and with a Degree in Naval Architecture, James works in our Engineering office making sure the boats are built to Morelli Melvin standards and requirements and that the custom variations are correctly designed and built.
James Juan - DESIGN MANAGER
Aka "JJ" cut his teeth in the boating industry whilst working as an engineer for Jade Yachts under the mentorship of Jim Normy from McIvor&Team. He gained further experience at Tayana Yachts where, as project manager he oversaw engineering and system design and customer liaising before joining the HH Catamaran team in 2016.
BOATBUILDING
HYG has assembled a team of seasoned professionals from around the globe to build create a talented team of project managers and craftsmen. Hailing from four continents, and led by veteran boatbuilders Riccardo Marton and Jan Rossa, the production team members are fully dedicated to building yachts with professionalism and integrity. Every step of the process is carefully managed and communicated by our excellent project management team. Processes and details are checked and rechecked to insure HYG’s highest standards are maintained
Warren Muir - BOAT BUILDER
A veteran boat builder, Warren's extensive design portfolio includes multiple Morrelli & Melvin projects, including the MM65 and the Gunboat90. Warren will impart invaluable experience from conceptual stages throughout the entire build process as he leads the HH in-house design department.
Riccardo Marton - MECHANICAL MANAGER
Riccardo joined the HYM team in 2012 after a successful 12 year boat building stint in South Africa. Ricardo was the mechanical systems manager on the Gunboat 60 projects and now oversees all mechanical operations for the HH line.
Yuchen Chen - BOAT BUILDING MANAGER
Yuchun joined HYM in 2010 as the Gunboat 60 Engineering Manager. In 2012 he took over as Production Manager on the Gunboat 60 line. Yuchun now manages production of the HH line.
Daniel Lin - SHIPPING LOGISTICS
Paul Smith - PAINT MANAGER
Paul has worked as paint manager at HYG since 2011. Previously he worked on projects that included the Gunboat 60 and the HH42.
SALES AND MARKETING
Led by Dan Sammis in the US and Scarlett Li and Renee Lin in China, the HYG Sales and Marketing team is another truly international force. Marketing and PR specialists from Taiwan, China, the UK and the US, as well as a strong network of brokers worldwide, round out the team. Our knowledgeable, experienced team is driven to always put the needs of our customers first - ensuring that your buying and ownership experience with HYG is straight forward, fun and stress free.

HYG's team of international service professionals are available around the globe, around the clock. The SWAT (Service Worldwide Anytime Team) is comprised of Captain Chris Bailet, Captain Thomas Jonnson, boatbuilder extraordinaire Riccardo Marton, electrician Carlos Van Camp, and customer service/concierge Lauren Battaile. Any member of this at-large team can be deployed at a moment's notice to assist our clients anywhere in the world.
